The momentum is real – Franklin County had one of its best seasons in school history with a 7-win campaign. The roster churned over a good bit, but there are some great pieces back and that wave of momentum will carry the Lions through a very difficult slate.

Key Returning Players: Elliott Harbin, Kennan Burtch, Carson Cheek, Knox Whitworth, Jett Whitworth, Gavin Wells

Up & Coming Players: QB Knox Whitworth, ATH Jett Whitworth, Omari Cochran

Offense: Multiple
Knox Whitworth shined in a small sample size last year, and takes over officially as QB1 for Franklin County. He’ll have Carson Cheek in the backfield as one of the featured skill players, and Jett Whitworth might play a bit on that side of the ball as well along with Gavin Wells (WR). Chuck Holland says the goal is to distribute the ball into as many player’s hands as possible, and make it a balanced approach.

Defense: 
Defensively, Elliott Harbin and Kennan Burtch are beasts and will anchor that side of the ball. Gavin Wells and Jett Whitworth should be featured there as well quite a bit.

Trenches: Kennan Burtch – he’s a D1 talent that is going to be the leader in the trenches. Overall, some guys to be replaced from last year, but this group will be hard-nosed and ready for the challenge.

STRENGTHS & AREAS OF FOCUS

Strengths: The momentum carrying over from one of the best seasons in school history. While several have graduated, many that had big roles in that return.

Focusing On: Getting better every day is their motto/message for this season. Coach Holland expects guys to focus on themselves amidst a new-look region where seven teams were in the playoffs.
