The Lady Leopards posted 20-plus wins for a third straight season last year. While some key pieces graduated, the team might be as good as ever talent-wise this time around. With three straight Sweet 16s, Banks County is aiming to get past that wall.

“I hope to end with another winning season,” says LaHayne. “With the power rankings being the main factor this season, we have a pretty tough schedule, and I hope that helps us to secure a spot in the state playoffs, and we’d love to get past the Sweet 16 hump!”

“Addie is an upcoming freshman I have my eye on, Reagan will be moving up from our JV-I pulled her up during our area playoffs last year, and she stepped up for us, so I have high hopes for her this year.”

Strengths: “This season we have the most depth in our program that we have yet to have in our six years of having a high school program,” adds LaHayne. “From varsity to JV we have a good bit of talent coming up. Defensively, we should be very strong. While we have some strength at the net this year as well, we lost some major scorers from this past season.”
