TEAH GALES

Teah Gales was always an elite thrower for Jefferson. The Lady Dragons’ standout won two state titles in the shot put (2024, 2026), and was Runner-Up in 2025 and 5th as a freshman in 2023. She won the region title in that event three times (2024-26), and was Runner-Up in 2023. Her PR was 42-7.25, and she also did well at region in discus with three top-5 finishes. (427 votes)

WILL GIPSON

Will Gipson won three state titles in track and field, taking the 1600 and 3200 in his senior year, and the 3200 in his junior campaign. The Franklin County GOAT distance runner won the region titles for those events in those same seasons. Overall, he placed in the top-5 five times and top-10 six times. He was never lower than 9th in region in a distance event. (2,626 votes)

ANSLEY MOORE

Ansley Moore won a mind-boggling SEVEN state titles in distance events. She swept the 800/1600/3200 all four years of high school at region as well – that’s 12 region championships. Her PR in each: 2:14.96 in the 8000, 5:03.84 in the 1600, and 11:04.84 in the 3200. She was almost entirely unbeaten her senior year, save one 2nd-place run in the 3200 at sectionals. She swept the 800/1600/3200 at state in back-to-back years in 2025-26, and won a state title in the 800 as a sophomore. That season, she was also the State RU in the 3200 and 3rd in the 1600. Moore, a standout in XC and basketball as well, went on to Piedmont University. (538 votes)
