DESHONA GAITHER

Deshona Gaither had a great career as the point guard for the Lady Dragons of Jefferson. The 3-time All-Region and 2-time All-State player was a force every year for JHS. She scored over 1,000 points and had well over 200 assists and 100 steals, leading the Lady Dragons to several region titles and deep playoff runs. She played at the next level at Emmanuel, Newberry College, and Georgia College and State University, ending her career with 760 points at the college level. (211 votes)

ABBY SLATON

Abby Slaton as of the time of her induction into the BLITZ HOF is the all-time 3-point leader at Dawson County. The Lady Tigers sharpshooter eclipsed 1,000 points for her career, and was a 2-time All-State and 3-time All-Region selection, and went on to play for awhile at Young Harris. (230 votes)
