The 2025-26 school year ends, and Franklin County had the closest finish in BLITZ Cup history with a 1-point advantage over Jefferson. The Lions secured 243 points against Jefferson’s 242, with Tallulah Falls and Rabun County right in the thick of it as well.

Franklin had a spring surge with a baseball Final 4 run, 3rd-place boys track and field finish with multiple state titles, Sweet 16s for boys soccer and boys tennis, and a girls soccer playoff run. For the 25-26 year, Franklin had every sport with the exception of girls tennis play in the postseason, winning region titles in girls and boys track, runner-up in both boys basketball and boys soccer, and Final 4s in volleyball and baseball as well as boys track (3rd).
