The Area/Region Golf Tournaments are underway. Here are the results.

BANKS COUNTY

COMMERCE

GIRLS – Runner-Up! The Lady Tigers shot a team score of 185, qualifying for state. Madelyn Shirley (87 – Runner-Up) and Addyson Martin (98 – T-6th) contributed.

BOYS – 3rd Place – qualifying for state! John Pittard (Tied as Runner-Up) carded a 76, Will Bowen (8th) had an 80, and Hutsen Hewell and Jacksen Wilson each had an 87.

DAWSON COUNTY

GIRLS – Area 4th – missed cut for state. Pearl Hughes (81 – Runner-Up) qualified individually. Rylee Grigsby (118) was next for Dawson.

BOYS – 12th – missing state. Easton Hall (86), Jed Morris (89), and Cayson Chester (91) led the Tigers.

FRANKLIN COUNTY

HABERSHAM CENTRAL

GIRLS – Area Champions! The Lady Raiders won the title with a team score of 254, 11 ahead of 2nd place. Charlotte Smith (75) won the individual title, while Macey Harrison (88), Kadyn Green (91), Jamie Baker (98), and Aedyn James (110) rounded out the team efforts.

BOYS – Area 4th – Advance to Sectionals. Jack Butterworth and Cooper Cantrell both fired a 74, while Zac Baker (79), Carson Crane (83), Tristan Farr (86), and Reece Porter (90) competed as well.

JEFFERSON

GIRLS – Area Runner-Up! The Lady Dragons fired a 175, just one stroke shy of White County for the lead. Addison Taylor (82 – 3rd), Tori Beth Condon (93), and Brooke O’Hara (93) were the scorers, as they qualified for state.

BOYS – Area Runner-Up! The Dragons shot a team score of 320, led by Zachary Moore and Kane Bute (both with a 78 – tied 12th). Camden Dumas (80), Taylor McCall (84), Dalton Dye (85), and Hudson Myers (90) rounded it out. They qualified for state.

LUMPKIN COUNTY

GIRLS – 6th – missing out on state. Riley Dyer (104) led Lumpkin County.

BOYS – 7th – missing state. Luke Reese (84), Evan Tapley (86), Blake Washo (87), and Grady Smith (90) were the top four for the Indians.

RABUN COUNTY

GIRLS – The Lady Wildcats qualified as a team for state. Bella Hulsey led the efforts.

BOYS – Ty Truelove qualified individually for state to represent Rabun.

STEPHENS COUNTY

TALLULAH FALLS

GIRLS – Region Champions! Maeve Hatcher (82) was the individual region champion, and Handley James (85) the Runner-Up.

BOYS – 5th Place – Despite four individuals earning state berths, the team didn’t qualify after finishing fifth. Ryder Cantrell (80), Owen Earp (81), Rylee Smith (82), and Tate Turpin (83) qualified.

TOWNS COUNTY

UNION COUNTY

GIRLS – 3rd! The Lady Panthers are state bound! Sofia Charbonneau was the individual runner-up.

BOYS – 4th – just missing state. Hayden Price was 3rd individually

WHITE COUNTY

GIRLS – Area 3-AAA Champions! Maddie Kate Hall (77 – Area Champ!), Emma Rogers (97), Lilly Ellis (99), and Addison Schindler (102) led the Lady Warriors.

BOYS – Area 5th – missing cut for state. Owen Rogers (75) was tied for 5th. Tracen Verrill (83) and Ridge Ellis (84) were the top three for the Warriors.
