Welcome to our ‘In the Bag’ Crystal Ball Weekly Predictions, brought to you by Bagwell Insurance – Matt Adams. Well…here we are, the opening round of the state playoffs. 8 of our 11 teams made the postseason, and now 6 remain! For the record, we were spotless last week on all predicted outcomes. Below are the Round Two matchups and predictions for what we think will happen.

    […] We typically make a case for both, with our official pick linked below. For Jefferson, offensively they will need to get going quickly. The sooner the Dragons can get points on the board, that will make Hiram play ketchup, and going against the 2nd-best defense in the state will make that a near impossible task. Start quick, make necessary stops on defense, and be opportunistic with takeaways, penalties, field position, etc. That’s the recipe for Jefferson. The Hornets meanwhile will need to come up with the big homerun plays. Those chunk yards are going to be the key. However, they will also need to know when to slow it down a bit and drain that clock.
