Alex Stewart had perhaps his best game of the season in the Tigers’ win over Pickens. The senior LB had 14 tackles, including 5 TFL. He had a pick six as well, earning his first POW award.

CAL FAULKNER – LUMPKIN COUNTY
Cal Faulkner passed the ball on 3 times in Week 7 against Wesleyan. But he can dial it up when he needs to. In the Week 8 win over Gilmer, he went 22-of-25 passing for 230 yards and 3 TD. The junior QB then added 48 rushing yards and another score. He even had 2 TDs called back (one rushing and one receiving). Faulkner earns his fifth career POW award.

JAVIN GORDON – STEPHENS COUNTY
These numbers don’t even sound right, but they are. In #1 Stephens County’s win over Franklin County, junior RB Javin Gordon rushed for 201 yards. That’s just another day at the office for him, but he only ran the ball 12 times, which is good for 16.8 yards per tote. He had 6 (SIX) TD runs. And here’s the kicker to all that. He did it in just one half and then one snap in the third quarter. This is Gordon’s 4th career POW award.
