Golf State Championship Results


The GHSA State Championships took place on May 22-23 (weather permitting). Here are the known published results:

CLASS 6A
Habersham Central Raiders – IND
Though the Raiders didn’t qualify as a team for state, junior Jack Rowe finishes as Area Runner-Up to qualify individually. Rowe fired a 151 score across both days, including a 76 in the second round to finish 15th individually.
Habersham Central Lady Raiders – 8th
The Lady Raiders placed 8th overall with a 568 team score. Sophomore Addie Maney was 14th with a 172, including an 81 in the second round.

CLASS 5A
Jefferson Dragons – 12th
The Dragons finished 12th overall with a team score of 683. Tripp Dye led Jefferson with a 159 score, good for 27th individually.
Jefferson Lady Dragons – 6th
Jefferson came in 6th at state with a 575 team score. Sophomore Anna Kate Patton shot a 171 to finish 10th individually.

CLASS 3A
Dawson County Tigers – 8th
The Tigers shot a 2-day score of 648 to come in 8th place at state. Junior Walker Millholland shot a 151 to come in 7th individually, while William McNatt (160) came in 22nd.
Dawson County Lady Tigers – IND
Region Champ Samantha Dewendt qualified individually for state. She finished 3rd individually with a 149 score, including a 79 on day two.
White County Lady Warriors – 2nd
The Lady Warriors were second at state with a 540 score. Sophomore Layne Graham was 9th individually with a 177 over the 2-day tournament. Cameron Kimsey was 14th with a 180, while Aubrey Free and Maddie Kate Hall both fired a 191 to tie for 22nd.
CLASS 2A
Banks County Leopards – 3rd
The Leopards fired a 326 team score to finish 3rd at state! Sophomore Jake Dalton has tied for 6th individually with a 77 score. Nate Crabbe (81) placed 15th overall, and Thomas Nguyen (83) was 21st.
Banks County Lady Leopards – 10th
The Lady Leopards finished 10th with a 230 team score. Ralee Davidson was 26th with a 113 and Julia Busenlehner 29th with a 117.
Union County Lady Panthers – 9th
Union County came in 9th with a total score of 207. Lydia McNabb (freshman) came in 16th with a 100 score. Hope Patton was 20th with a 107, and Ivie Chapman 23rd at 109.

CLASS 1A DI
Commerce Lady Tigers – 11th
The Lady Tigers came in 11th at state with a 483 score. Olivia Akers placed 38th with a 253 2-day score.
Rabun County Wildcats – 8th
Jack Hood’s 178 led Rabun County to an 8th-place finish (team score 766), as he finished 34th overall and Owen Thompson was 42nd with a 187.
Tallulah Falls Indians – 11th
The Indians placed 11th overall with a final score of 794 over the 2-day event. Canon Brooks led TFS with a 39th-place finish, carding a 181.
Tallulah Falls Lady Indians – 5th
The Lady Indians placed 5th overall, as senior Hannah Lundy led with a 194, giving her a 10th-place finish individually. Mallory Higgins was 13th overall with a 196.
