Garrett, Hood take tennis POW awards
The BLITZ Tennis Players of the Week, named by BLITZ, are Braden Garrett (Lumpkin County) and Lucy Hood (Rabun County).

BRADEN GARRETT – LUMPKIN COUNTY
Lumpkin County has made a stellar run in the state tournament, and #1 singles player Braden Garrett has been nothing but reliable and consistent. The junior posted a win in the opening round, and was 14-3 on the season prior to the Sweet 16 match (which Lumpkin won). This is Garrett’s first POW award.

LUCY HOOD – RABUN COUNTY
Lucy Hood won for the Lady Wildcats in their first round win to get Rabun County into the Sweet 16. The junior at #2 singles has been a key line for Rabun this season, and her win clinched the match. This is Hood’s 7th career POW award.
