Habersham duo, Kelsick take tennis POW honors
The BLITZ Girls Tennis Player of the Week Fan Vote winner was the Habersham Central duo of Ava Smith and Ahmia Roberts, taking 23,558 of the 62,140 votes. BLITZ then chose Ariel Kelsick (Tallulah Falls) as the Co-POW.
AVA SMITH & AHMIA ROBERTS – HABERSHAM CENTRAL
Habersham Central’s #2 doubles line consist of Ava Smith (sophomore) and Ahmia Roberts (junior). The duo went 2-0 in the region tournament last week to lift the Lady Raiders into the first round of the state tournament. This is both Smith and Roberts’ first POW awards.

ARIEL KELSICK – TALLULAH FALLS
Ariel Kelsick has had an unbelievable season to this point. Last week in the Region Championship, she came away with a dominant 6-2, 6-1 win against her Rabun County opponent, and went 6-0, 6-0 in the region semifinals. She is now a flawless 15-0 on the season at 1-singles, and the junior is the single-season wins leader in Tallulah Falls history. This is her first POW award.
