Banks duo, Darnell take tennis POW honors
The BLITZ Boys Tennis Player of the Week Fan Vote winner was the Banks County duo of Drew Daniel and Cooper White, taking 7,943 of the 15,998 votes. BLITZ then chose Brady Darnell (Rabun County) as the Co-POW.
DREW DANIEL & COOPER WHITE – BANKS COUNTY
Banks County’s top doubles team of Drew Daniel (sophomore) and Cooper White (junior) went 1-2 last week in the region tournament. The duo helped get the Leopards into the state tournament, where Banks County has since been ousted in the first round. This is Daniel’s first POW award, and the second for White.

BRADY DARNELL – RABUN COUNTY
Freshman Brady Darnell had an exceptional week for the Wildcats, going 2-0 in his matches in the region tournament at 3-singles. He helped Rabun grab a region runner-up finish, and since then the team has advanced to the Sweet 16. This is Darnell’s first POW award.
