Union County has moved quickly following the girls’ early exit in the state playoffs. Coach Brad Cochran stepped down after just one season, Union has announced Thomas Nelson as the new head coach.

Nelson has been a football coach in an assistant capacity at Union, so he is a familiar and committed choice. With a young and talented group in place for the Lady Panthers, Nelson will hope to maximize the potential of the program.

Union County’s girls team has had 6 different head coaches in the last 8 years.
