Pitch Preview: Stephens County Indians

In Rob Worsley’s first year over the Stephens County program, the Indians saw an increase in wins from 1 to 3. While that might now immediately capture a second look, consider that this marked the best improvement in 5 years for Stephens County. It takes time to build a program up, and Worsley has this train heading on the right track.

*limited preview due to lack of team-provided information*

HEAD COACH: Rob Worsley (2nd Season)
2022 RECORD: 3-13-1; No Playoffs
RETURNING STARTERS: Unknown
KEY DEPARTURES: Unknown
KEY PLAYERS: Unknown
STRENGTHS: The team has a year of growth under its belt, and will seek to compete within Region 8-AAA for a playoff spot.

The Indians have a chance to take the next step. It’s been since at least 2016 that the team has played beyond the regular season. Stephens County will go up against the reigning region champs and State Runner-Up Oconee County once again, and East Jackson, Hart County, Monroe Area, Franklin County, and Hebron Christian Academy. It’s a stout region, but one in which the Indians can aim to be a part of the top 4.
