In the wake of a State Runner-Up finish for Commerce, it appears that this year’s group stands a fantastic chance of repeating a trip to the finals, and we’re calling the shot now – winning it all in 2023!

STRENGTHS: “We should have great team leadership with Chloe Diaz, Ivy Tolbert and Kate Hill,” says Tolbert. “We are returning 99.4% (178/179) of our goals and 96.9% (155/160) of our assists from last year, along with a now very healthy and hungry Chloe Diaz. We couple that with two time Georgia High School Player of the Year and the Nation’s leading goal-scorer, Ivy Tolbert and Georgia’s assist leader, Kate Hill and offensively…we should be fine.”

This team lost all of 2 games last season…both to Social Circle. Once in region play, keeping Commerce from a region title, and then in the State Championship in overtime. With Tolbert set for another 100+ goal season, and Diaz and Hill both healthy, this looks like the year it all will come together for a state championship.

“Our goal is to be at the top of our region and make a very, very deep run into the playoffs,” says Tolbert.

That seems the safest bet for this program. Look out for the Lady Tigers!
