Denika Lightbourne scored 31 points, with 17 coming in the second half, guiding Tallulah Falls to a 64-30 win over Commerce on Friday at TFS. The Lady Indians (5-10; 1-1 in 8-A DI) doubled up the Lady Tigers (6-9; 0-2) in the opening quarter and never looked back.
TFS went on a 7-0 run to open the game, which featured a deep 3-pointer bucket from Allie Phasavang. The junior had a pair of trays in the opening quarter. Commerce got its first 7 points from freshman Jayah Vann, which made it a 2-point game. Lightbourne scored 10 in the first, as TFS pulled ahead 18-9.

The Lady Indians and Lady Tigers traded buckets throughout the second, as TFS outpaced Commerce 12-11 to make it a 30-20 halftime score in favor of the home team.
A 12-3 Tallulah Falls run to open the third quarter put the game out of reach at 42-23. It was part of a 16-7 third frame for the Lady Indians. The girls got 18 more in the fourth, while Commerce struggled to get just 3 more points the rest of the way.
Lightbourne finished with 31, making a second straight game hitting the 30-pointer mark. She had 32 against Elbert a couple days earlier, which is her career high. Tanisha Seymour added 10 for the Lady Indians, while Phasavang recorded 9 (on 3 3-pointers). Molly Mitchell had 6, Breelyn Wood 3, 2 apiece for Millie Holcomb and Emily Cai, and one point for Lupita Carillo.
For the Lady Tigers, Raven Parks led with 10 points, while Vann finished with 7. Malay Mitchell had 6 points, Jada Palumbo had 3, and Jayla Collins and Chloe Dean both ended with 2.
