BLITZ Cup Standings: End of Fall

With the closing of the fall sports season, we give the first update to the BLITZ Cup Standings. The BLITZ Cup is given each year to the school in our coverage area that accumulates the most points. Points are given for state playoff appearances, winning seasons, region titles, state rankings, playoff wins/deep runs, Player of the Week and Year awards, and more. The BLITZ Cup is a traveling trophy that resides with the winning school for an entire year until a new school wins it. Each winner is engraved on the trophy’s placard for each winner since its inception in 2009-10. Currently, Rabun County holds the trophy as the winner from 2021-22.
Tallulah Falls gains the initial edge by a single point over White County, heavily due to the volleyball state championship and all the success gained through the season. White County had a solid fall in nearly every sport, and Union as well. Rabun, the defending BLITZ Cup Champions, are looming just behind. In fact, 1-7 are all very much in the running here!
