Juniors Pursley, Burnette named softball POW winners
The BLITZ Fan Vote for Softball Player of the Week saw 27,840 votes come in, with Lorin Pursley (Commerce) taking the most at 11,474. BLITZ then named Sierra Burnette (Union County) as Co-POW.
LORIN PURSLEY – COMMERCE
In the final action of the season for Commerce, the Lady Tigers’ junior 3B/1B Lorin Pursley shined. She hit .333 in the Super Regionals with a 3-for-9 mark at the plate. That included an RBI and run scored in the 3 games. This is Pursley’s first POW award.

SIERRA BURNETTE – UNION COUNTY
Junior Sierra Burnett put the Lady Panthers on her shoulders in the Super Regionals. The star pitcher went 3-0 with a clean 1.84 ERA and 17 strikeouts in all 19 innings of work. At the plate, Burnette hit .455 (5-for-11) with a homer, 3 RBI, 2 runs scored, and a triple. This is Burnette’s first POW award.
