Fain, Byers named softball POW winners
The BLITZ Fan Vote for Softball Player of the Week saw 58,980 votes come in, with Logan Fain (White County) taking the most at 29,304. BLITZ then named Katie Byers (Union County) as Co-POW.
LOGAN FAIN – WHITE COUNTY
White County always seems to churn out new talented players. Meet the latest. Freshman 3B Logan Fain carries a powerful bat, and showed it last week for the Lady Warriors. In 3 games, Fain was 9-for-15 for a .600 average, driving in 3 runs while collecting a double and a triple. This is Fain’s first POW award.

KATIE BYERS – UNION COUNTY
Katie Byers put in a great performance for Union County in the Lady Panthers’ drive for a region title. The junior centerfielder had a couple of hits, scored twice, drove in a run, and had a triple and stolen base. This is Byers’ first POW award.
