Greenwood, Spivey named softball POW winners
The BLITZ Fan Vote for Softball Player of the Week saw 14,130 votes come in, with Bryce Greenwood (Dawson County) taking the most at 6,046. BLITZ then named Taylor Spivey (Jefferson) as Co-POW.
BRYCE GREENWOOD – DAWSON COUNTY
Bryce Greenwood went 7-for-16 at the plate for Dawson County last week, which was good for a .438 batting average. With that, the freshman catcher hit a homerun, had 6 RBI, 2 doubles, and a run scored. This is Greenwood’s first POW award.

TAYLOR SPIVEY – JEFFERSON
Jefferson has many standout players, though Taylor Spivey is truly one of the leaders of the Lady Dragons. The senior pitcher was as dominant as ever last week, going 2-0 with a spotless 0.00 ERA, striking out 5 in 9.2 innings of work. This is Spivey’s third career POW award.
