Thomas, Shubert named softball POW winners
The BLITZ Fan Vote for Softball Player of the Week saw 32,067 votes come in, with Jayden Thomas (Habersham Central) taking the most at 17,065. BLITZ then named Natalie Shubert (Lumpkin County) as Co-POW.
JAYDEN THOMAS – HABERSHAM CENTRAL
Jayden Thomas picks up POW honors after guiding the Lady Raiders last week. The senior catcher hit .500, also clipping .500 OBP, .700 SLG, and driving in 3 runs while scoring twice. This is Thomas’ second POW award of the season.

NATALIE SHUBERT – LUMPKIN COUNTY
Natalie Shubert has been the key to the Lumpkin County softball team this year. The pitcher went 2-0 last week in the circle, and also got it done at the plate. She batted .800, going 4-for-5, including 2 homers, 4 RBI, 2 walks, and a hit by pitch. In all, she had an .875 OBP. This is Shubert’s second POW award this season and in her career.
