Sherrill, Hunter claim Runner of the Week awards
The BLITZ Fan Vote for XC Runner of the Week saw 1,712 votes come in, with Ben Sherrill (Lumpkin County) taking the most at 1,079. BLITZ then named Lola Hunter (Union County) as Co-ROW.
BEN SHERRILL – LUMPKIN COUNTY
Ben Sherrill is having a standout season for Lumpkin County, forming a legit 1-2 punch with teammate Wyatt Windham. The junior Sherrill carded a 16:51 last week at the TFS Heroes Invitational, placing first among a solid group of runners. His 16:51 is a personal best, and Sherrill claims his first POW award.

LOLA HUNTER – UNION COUNTY
Union County’s next great runner is Lola Hunter. The freshman is continuing to finish near the top of the field in each meet, including last week at the Bulldog XC Meet. She placed second overall, and ran a 20:18, which was a PR by nearly 50 seconds. This is Hunter’s first POW award.
