Burruss, Barfield named softball POW winners
The BLITZ Fan Vote for Softball Player of the Week saw 19,788 votes come in, with Micah Burruss (Dawson County) taking the most at 11,055. BLITZ then named Bailey Barfield (Habersham Central) as Co-POW.

Micah Burruss’ stellar sophomore season rolls on. The first baseman batted .623 for the Lady Tigers, going 5-for-8 last week. She blasted a homerun and added 3 RBI. This is her second POW award this season.

Bailey Barfield led the Lady Raiders last week at the plate. The senior centerfielder hit .368, driving in 7 runs while scoring 9 times, and slugging 3 doubles. This is Barfield’s second career POW award.
