Hand, Davis secure Runner of the Week awards
The BLITZ Fan Vote for XC Runner of the Week saw 8,301 votes come in, with Hayden Hand (Dawson County) taking the most at 4,611. BLITZ then named Pepper Davis (Banks County) as Co-ROW.
HAYDEN HAND – DAWSON COUNTY
Hayden Hand picks up an early Runner of the Week award after placing 5th at Wesleyan for Dawson County last week. The freshman, who was a star at the MS level, finished the meet with a time of 22:21, claiming the first of hopefully many Runner of the Week awards for her.

PEPPER DAVIS – BANKS COUNTY
Pepper Davis has already established himself as one of the top runners in Class 2A, joining a long line of next-level runners from Banks County. The junior is off to a great start in 2022, finishing 2nd at the North Georgia Championships last week for the Leopards. His time was a blistering 17:15, which is a PR for him. This is Davis’ first ROW award.
