TRACK & FIELD

ETHAN SMITH

Ethan Smith had a stellar career in cross country and probably moreso in track and field. He won a total of five region titles, two of them individually (junior year in 400 & 800). In 2021, he won region titles in the 400, 800, 4×400, and 4×800. He was the anchor on the 4×400 team that won region in 2022 (while finishing second in the 400, 800, and 4×200). He finished inside the top-5 at state three times (and had four podium finishes in total), including fourth and fifth in the 800 in junior and senior year, respectively. He was a vital part of the Dawson County record-setting 4×400 and 4×800 teams, which each won a region title as well. His PR in the 400 was 51.53 and 1:56 in the 800. (2,357 votes)
