Awarded annually to a school in the BLITZ coverage area since 2009-10, the BLITZ Cup was residing at Commerce, last year’s champion who had a record 228 points. The traveling trophy is housed at the winning school at the end of each school year until a new champion is named. Rabun County’s ever-so-slim win over Jefferson and Commerce tied the record of Commerce’s 228 points (last year).

Rabun County last won the BLITZ Cup in the 2016-17 year, and remains the only school to win 3 straight BLITZ Cup titles, taking it in ’14-’15, ’15-’16, and ’16-’17. In the spring, Rabun County was lifted by every team except girls golf to be featured in the state playoffs. The boys golf team finished third, the girls tennis team made the Final 4, and the boys soccer team advanced to the Sweet 16 to highlight the spring success.
