The Tigers emerged last season with the dynamic running game of Dreylan Martin and freshman phenom Jaiden Daniels. The scary part is that Daniels wasn’t playing at 100% health the bulk of the season, yet still grinded out an incredible stat line of 1,425 rushing yards and 13 TD, and had 108 kick return yards, 33 receiving yards, and 15 tackles to go with an interception. Safe to say, Commerce will go as far as this young man can carry them in 2022.

Mark Hollars guided the program to a 6-5 record in his first season, leading to a state playoff appearance for the 25th straight year. The Tigers were ranked early on as the #4 team in the state. Daniels and Martin led an offense that generated just 201 points, so more help from others would certainly be a great thing to have. The 18.3 points was the lowest average since 2012. The defense (20.2) allowed its most total points since 2013. There’s room to improve for sure.
