The Raiders are set for a breakout in 2022 after a 3-7 2021 campaign. A roster churn like it hadn’t seen in quite a few years, Benji Harrison’s group showed plenty of promise in a season that saw Hab Central fight for a playoff spot despite coming up short. The most exciting part of that is the emergence of new star playmakers such as Carson Parker (QB) and Zeke Whittington (WR) among others.

In what will be Harrison’s eighth season in Mt. Airy (the longest stay since Habersham’s legendary coach Larry Black), the Raiders get a bit of relief with Buford moving up a classification in the newest alignment. It doesn’t mean things will be easy, but it certainly will be a bit more manageable in 8-AAAAAA. In mid-May, the Raiders officially released their 2022 slate.
