Banks County got a pair of wins in 2021 under fourth-year head coach Jay Reid, and advanced to the 2A state playoffs before losing to South Atlanta. With the Region 8-AA completely revised going into 2022, it’s a good chance to see how the Leopards could fare this season. Reid is back for his fifth year, and sports a 10-21 record going back to 2018.

Gone are playmakers such as the trio of Roman Haynes, Bowen Roberts, and Cade Herrin. However, this team was still so young in many areas, and will return the Swiss Army Knife Andrew Shockley and Caine Griffith, as well as guys like Johnathan Burkett, Wyatt Jenkins, Eli Ward, and others that we think will make a big impact for Banks this coming fall.
