The BLITZ Boys Basketball Player of the Week Fan Vote collected 3,659 total votes, with Rabun County’s Connor McKay taking 2,447 to win the POW Fan Vote. BLITZ then named Habersham Central’s Osmar Garcia Co-POW.

CONNOR MCKAY – FAN VOTE

The incredible season continues for Connor McKay at Rabun County. The senior wing played one game last week, and bagged 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists as part of YET ANOTHER double-double. He was a perfect 11-for-11 at the charity stripe as well. This is McKay’s 3rd POW award of the season and his 8th career POW award, making him tied for 3rd in BLITZ history for Player of the Week awards.

OSMAR GARCIA – BLITZ PICK

Newcomer Osmar Garcia is the real deal. The Raiders junior forward is dominant near the basket, and showed out last week with a 2-game average of 24.5 points and 8.5 rebounds. This is Garcia’s first POW award.
