Baseball Power Rankings – Preseason
With the official arrival of the 2022 season, we took a detailed look at our Team-by-Team Season Previews to compile our official Power Rankings, Preseason edition. This comes with a caveat that this is based on teams’ talent coming back, and will surely change once games are played.
1. JEFFERSON – A handful of potential All-State players & winning culture
2. WHITE COUNTY – Returns trio of big-time playmakers who are great leaders & momentum carries over
3. TALLULAH FALLS – Extremely talented roster with handful of new pieces; pitching depth
4. HABERSHAM – Solid experience and a talented roster
5. RABUN COUNTY – OFFENSE! Lineup is legit! Pitching leaders will need to emerge quickly
6. STEPHENS COUNTY – Pitching experience returns; senior leadership strong; key players around the field
7. COMMERCE – More athletic and better pitching depth than before
8. BANKS COUNTY – New coach, same high expectations, but plenty of inexperienced players to go with veterans
9. DAWSON COUNTY – Depth and experience key
10. UNION COUNTY – Big senior class and pitching depth, but must retool offense
11. TOWNS COUNTY – Big senior class; someone to step up and replace lost talent from last couple of years
12. LUMPKIN COUNTY – Middle of the order bat needs to emerge; young team
