Seniors Dooley, Crowder earn Boys Hoops POW awards


The BLITZ Boys Basketball Player of the Week Fan Vote collected 19,011 total votes, with Habersham Central’s Malachi Dooley taking 7,363 to win the POW Fan Vote. BLITZ then named Towns County’s Collin Crowder Co-POW.
MALACHI DOOLEY – FAN VOTE

Malachi Dooley makes it back-to-back POW awards with yet another great week. In the Raiders’ lone game last week, the senior guard had 17 points and 5 assists. Dooley recently eclipsed 1,000 career points, and now has 4 POW awards in his career.

COLLIN CROWDER – BLITZ PICK

Collin Crowder dropped in his 1,000th career point for Towns County last week against Social Circle. The senior averaged 21.5 points and 7 boards per game. He had 20 points in the game against Social Cirle. The Indians then trailed a top-5 team by 7 with less than a minute in the game. This is Crowder’s second POW award of the season, and third of his career.
