The BLITZ Girls Basketball Player of the Week Fan Vote collected 6,485 total votes, with White County’s Maci Shelnut taking 3,378 to win the POW Fan Vote. BLITZ then named Natalia Bolden (Jefferson) Co-POW.

MACI SHELNUT – FAN VOTE

Junior Maci Shelnut is back again. The White County guard is off to a great start. In 3 games last week to open the season, Shelnut averaged 7.7 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1 block per game. She also shot 38.5% from deep. This is Shelnut’s second career POW award.

NATALIA BOLDEN – BLITZ PICK

Natalia Bolden has such an inspiring story. After missing such a large chunk of her high school career due to injuries, the guard just continued to battle through the adversity to the point where she is now – finally back! The senior is off to a great start, averaging 21 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game in the opening week of play. She connected on 54% of her shots in earning her first-ever POW award.
