Cross Country State Meet Results


On the biggest stage – or course – the local teams and runners performed at their best. Here are the GHSA State Meet results:
BANKS COUNTY
BOYS – The Leopards finished 5th, as Buck Ledford came in as the Runner-Up with a 16:24. Pepper Davis was 15th (17:52).
GIRLS – The girls were 16th as a team. Maggie Irvin (26:10) was 79th.
COMMERCE
BOYS – Peyton McClure (11th; 19:16) and Cayden Lord (14th; 19:29) led the Tigers to a 4th place finish.
GIRLS – The girls placed 6th, as Paden Bell came in 4th (21:53) and Ermay Vazquez 6th (22:21).
DAWSON COUNTY
BOYS – Ethan Smith was 18th (17:42) to lead the Tigers, who finished 11th overall.

HABERSHAM CENTRAL
GIRLS – Running individually, Audrey Hotard came in 12th (20:13) to represent Habersham Central.
JEFFERSON
BOYS – The Dragons came in 3rd. Matthew Schroeder placed 5th (16:58). Ben Davis was 20th.
GIRLS – The Lady Dragons were State Runner-Up. Katherine Law placed 5th at 20:07. Kiley Powell was 16th.
LUMPKIN COUNTY
BOYS – The boys were 12th as a team. Wyatt Windham led at 32nd with an 18:17 time, and Ben Sherrill (19:02) at 55th.
GIRLS – The Lady Indians were 8th overall. Abbie Hilchie was 15th (21:45).

RABUN COUNTY
BOYS – 17th as a team for Rabun. Bo Anderson (19:59) finished 80th, and GB Anderson (20:03) was 82nd.
GIRLS – The Lady Cats finished 7th. Molly Jo Wright (21:40) placed 15th, and Lucy Hood (22:57) was 37th.
STEPHENS COUNTY
BOYS – The team was 18th overall. Grady Sanders (17:58) finished in 23rd place to lead the boys.
TALLULAH FALLS
BOYS – The boys placed 13th behind Evan Prince’s 3rd place overall finish at 16:35.
GIRLS – The girls came in 13th, as Josie Chesser placed 49th (22:54) to lead the team.

TOWNS COUNTY
GIRLS – The Lady Indians were 8th, behind Alison Markham’s 7th place finish (22:33).
UNION COUNTY
BOYS – 14th. Benton Gregory led the team with a 36th-place finish (18:44), while Zander Rotko was 59th (19:36).
GIRLS – 8th. Ashley Shipes (22:15) was 25th.
WHITE COUNTY
GIRLS – The girls were 6th as a team. Nealeigh Broadwell led the team at 9th (21:10). Emma Lightsey was 20th, and Lily Gearing 21st.
