Martinez, Taylor Earn POW Selections

KYLEE TAYLOR – FAN VOTE

Coming back from an injury is hard enough. Coming back and making an impact is even more difficult. Commerce senior Kylee Taylor came back from a broken collarbone, and wasted no time. She hit .500, driving in 3 runs, scoring 4, and adding a pair of walks in Lady Tigers’ games against Elbert, Heard, Central Carrollton, and LFO. This is Taylor’s first POW award.

OLIVIA MARTINEZ – BLITZ PICK

Olivia Martinez last won a POW award in her freshman season. It’s just by chance she hasn’t won one since, as she’s had a more than solid career. Last week, the Dawson County senior batted .636, going 7-for-11 with 2 HR, 7 RBI, and a double.
