College Spotlight: Frankie Muldoon Opens Up 2021 With Solid Finish

Frankie Muldoon, a Dawson County native, is off and running with her junior season at Georgia State. On September 3, Muldoon finished 48th among a tough field of runners from numerous big programs including Georgia Tech, UGA, and Clemson.

Muldoon, a Class of 2019 standout from Dawsonville, has placed in the Top 50 now 3 times early in her career. She has a Top-10 to her credit in 5 career XC meets. Her PR in the 5000-meter is 20:27, though she ran a 16:12 in the 4K season opener for Georgia State.

Muldoon left Dawson County as a 4-time region champion in cross country, and all four years placed in the top-10 at state, including a pair of top-five finishes. Her PR was 18:22. Muldoon was named BLITZ Runner of the Year in back-to-back years as a sophomore and junior.

Muldoon also runs track and field for Georgia State in the spring, and recorded a PR of 4:58.98 in the 1500 at the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
