Jefferson has been a force for many years, making the Sweet 16 or further in 7 of the past 8 seasons. Still, after last year’s exit in the second round, the Lady Dragons feel there is unfinished business. This team is hoping for similar results to 2018 and 2016, when they played for a State Championship.

Head Coach: Kacie Bostwick, 6th Season
2020 Record:
22-9; Sweet 16; #4 State Ranking

“After only reaching the Sweet 16 last year and almost upsetting the state champions in the Sweet 16, our girls will be hungry for a trip to Columbus,” says coach Kacie Bostwick. “We compete in a very tough region with several other good teams, and in order to compete in our region, our pitchers need to have a great year with support from our offensive threats.”

Personnel

Key Departures: Mac Turner, Livi Blackstock, Abby Beatty

Key Returning Players: Ravyn Saxon, Camoreena Hart, Taylor Spivey, Maleia Truelove, Avery Hayes

There is a trade-off here. Mac Turner, Livi Blackstock, and Abby Beatty were next-level athletes. That’s a huge chunk of the team gone, but with another year of Ravyn Saxon, Camoreena Hart, and Taylor Spivey, who all have gotten better, this team shouldn’t see much of a drop-off, if any.
