The BLITZ Baseball Player of the Week Fan Vote notched 2,234 total votes, with Rabun County’s Brady Wilson (1,951) taking the most to earn POW honors. BLITZ then named Union’s Zeke Swartz Co-POW.

Union County’s senior star Zeke Swartz continues to have a spectacular season. Last week in 4 games played, the pitcher/first baseman hit .581 with a grand slam homerun, had 12 RBI, 3 doubles, and picked up a win on the mound. This is Swartz’ second career POW award, with both coming this season.
