Boys Soccer Power Rankings – April

We are hitting the final handful of games, which means it’s time for our April Power Rankings!

#1 WHITE COUNTY
PREVIOUS: #3
RECORD: 11-2 (6-0 in 7-AAA)
The Warriors are now ranked 4th in Class 3A, and have already clinched a region championship! Big things in store for this group, as one of the program’s greatest players Hayden Gensler is having a Player of the Year type of season.
#2 JEFFERSON
PREVIOUS: #2
RECORD: 8-3-1 (4-2 in 8-AAAA)
The Dragons, ranked #6 in Class 4A, are looking to improve their seeding prior to the state playoffs. This team is VERY good! Though they beat White County once this year by a 1-0 tally, White County’s full body of work and recent hot streak has Jefferson just behind them.
#3 TOWNS COUNTY
PREVIOUS: #4
RECORD: 7-1 (7-1 in 8-A Public)
The Indians, ranked #2 now in the state in 1A Public, have been ridiculously good. This team will make a serious run at a state title, so the question is how far will they go?

#4 UNION COUNTY
PREVIOUS: #5
RECORD: 1-0 (0-0 in 8-AA)
The Panthers are ranked #8 in class 2A, and won their region championship with a win over Rabun County on Tuesday. There’s a lot to like about this group, starting with playmakers like Kyler Robbins and Clayton Lester.
#5 HABERSHAM CENTRAL
PREVIOUS: #1
RECORD: 9-7 (6-5 in 8-AAAAAA)
The Raiders are 4th in their region and are looking like possibly the toughest 4-seed in the land.
#6 TALLULAH FALLS
PREVIOUS: #6
RECORD: 6-3 (4-3 in 8-A Private)
The Indians set a school record in a 9-0 win Tuesday over Loganville Christian, as Max Farris’ 5 goals tied his program single-game mark. He now has 20 goals along with Sammy Davis’ 12, and that duo has a chance to carry the team to uncharted territory in their first season as a GHSA team.
#7 RABUN COUNTY
PREVIOUS: #7
RECORD: 3-7-1 (2-5 in 8-AA)
The Wildcats drop to 4th in the region, and still have work to do to secure the playoff spot out of 8-AA.
#8 LUMPKIN COUNTY
PREVIOUS: #9
RECORD: 2-10 (2-4 in 7-AAA)
The Indians are seeking for any kind of traction they can get right now, and are outside the playoff picture.
#9 STEPHENS COUNTY
PREVIOUS: #11
2020 RECORD: 1-9-1 (0-4 in 8-AAA)
The Indians are sixth in the region, so the playoffs are not really possible at this point. They’re now looking to build on something to carry into the future.

#10 BANKS COUNTY
PREVIOUS: #8
RECORD: 1-10 (1-6 in 8-AA)
Banks County has 3 goals scored all season, and are now officially out of the playoff mix.
#11 DAWSON COUNTY
PREVIOUS: #10
RECORD: 0-12-2 (0-4-1 in 7-AAA)
The Tigers just came off a draw, so that’s a positive for them. They also are finding goals here and there. The playoffs are not a possibility at this point.
#12 COMMERCE
PREVIOUS: #12
RECORD: 0-6 (0-5 in 8-A Public)
The Tigers are out of the playoff hunt at this point.
