Starks Does It All For Dragons, Earns Player of the Week

The Semifinals saw the Dragons of Jefferson edge out Benedictine on the road to advance to their first state championship game since 2012. It was Malaki Starks who did the heavy lifting for Jefferson, earning BLITZ Player of the Week honors.

MALAKI STARKS

The Dragons’ junior quarterback, a 5-star recruit, came up big on what was the biggest game of his career. Malaki Starks earns his second POW award this season after he rushed 30 times for 321 yards (10.7 yards/carry), including 4 TDs. He also passed for 47 yards and a TD.

He had the game-winning TD late in the fourth, then sealed it on the other side of the ball with a legendary interception in the end zone to secure Jefferson’s state title game bid.
