Game of the Week: Rabun County vs Bleckley County

Our Game of the Week sends us to Tiger for a third straight top-10 matchup in the playoffs. This time it’s #1-ranked Rabun County against #7-ranked Bleckley County.

RABUN COUNTY

Rabun County has rolled through the first two rounds, as expected. Now, another big test when taking on #7-ranked Bleckley and their 5-star tackle. The Cats are fresh off a 35-0 win over Model. Gunner Stockton is now 3rd all-time in the state in passing scores (120), and is a little more than 150 yards away from passing former Rabun great Bailey Fisher on the all-time passing list for 10th all-time. Adriel Clark last week tied the state record for single season TD passes, and needs just one more to set the mark. Also worth noting, Rabun County has 399 career wins in program history. What a night it would be to get #400!

BLECKLEY COUNTY

The Royals come into this game with a HUGE upset win over Vidalia. Bleckley is now the only 4-seed left in the state playoffs among all classifications. That doesn’t mean it’s a shoe-in for Rabun, or that we just scoff at Bleckley County. This team has a legit 5-star tackle Amarius Mims (an AJC Super 11 player), rated as a top 20 recruit in the country. Most of the skill level players are pretty young, but these guys are very athletic.
