Habersham EMC Linemen of the Week: Colton Steele / Cade Adams

Brand New for 2020 – the Habersham EMC Linemen of the Week. Long have people asked for the guys who do the dirty work to get more recognition. Now, they do. Each week in the 2020 season, we will recognize an offensive lineman (or the full line as it is often a joint effort), and a defensive lineman, sponsored by Habersham EMC.
This week’s winners are Colton Steele (Jefferson) for the O-Line, and Cade Adams (Dawson County) for the D-Line.

COLTON STEELE – JEFFERSON

Senior OL Colton Steele has been as consistent as a lineman as you’ll see. He graded out at over 95% (Championship Grade), had 5 pancake blocks, and helped pave the way to 411 yards of offense in Jefferson’s first round win over Mt. Zion – Jonesboro. This is Steele’s first-ever POW award.
OTHERS WHO STOOD OUT: Clayton Dixon (Rabun; 90% Grade, 4 Knockdowns)

CADE ADAMS – DAWSON COUNTY

Cade Adams had a night! In a tight, big-time upset win for Dawson on the road at Adairsville, the sophomore D-Lineman recorded 6 tackles (1 for loss), and had a scoop-n-score TD on a fumble recovery. It made a huge difference in the 45-31 win. This is Adams’ first BLITZ award.
OTHERS WHO STOOD OUT: Chris Thompson (Rabun; 9 TKL); Carson Woodward (Jefferson; 4 TKL, 3 TFL, 4 QBH, 1 PBU); Caleb Wade (Habersham; 3 TKL, 1.5 TFL)
