Habersham EMC Linemen of the Week: Bear Old / Drew Allison

Brand New for 2020 – the Habersham EMC Linemen of the Week. Long have people asked for the guys who do the dirty work to get more recognition. Now, they do. Each week in the 2020 season, we will recognize an offensive lineman (or the full line as it is often a joint effort), and a defensive lineman, sponsored by Habersham EMC.
This week’s winners are Bear Old (Rabun) for the O-Line, and Drew Allison (Lumpkin) for the D-Line.

BEAR OLD – RABUN COUNTY

Junior Bear Old has been turning a lot of heads recently with his stellar play in the trenches. He’s ratcheting up next-level interest, and this past week proved why he’s worthy of the hype. The lineman graded out at 85%, and recorded 9 (NINE!) pancakes in just three quarters of play in a win over Banks County. This is Old’s first BLITZ POW award.

On the flip side, he also had a pancake block and a knockdown, and added a reception on offense. This is Allison’s first POW award.
