White County’s Moose & Jefferson’s Maxwell Grab Defensive Player of the Month Awards


The second Defensive Player of the Month honors for 2020 go to White County’s Jesse Moose (Fan Vote) and Jefferson’s Rem Maxwell (BLITZ Pick). Moose took 10,035 of the total 22,385 votes to earn the nod. This marks a second straight Player of the Month award for Moose, as he also took the Fan Vote after the first 4 weeks of the season.
Defensive Player of the Month awards started in 2019, and featured three sets of winners (picked after every four weeks of the regular season).

White County senior linebacker Jesse Moose earns his second straight Defensive Player of the Month award. After recording 36 total tackles (2 for loss), and forcing and recovering a fumble during the first 4 weeks of the season, this time he put up 20 tackles (2 for loss), a sack, and an interception. For the season, he has 56 tackles (4 TFL), a sack, interception, forced fumble, and fumble recovery. This is Moose’s second BLITZ award.

Rem Maxwell flooded the stat sheet over the last 4 weeks of games, posting 22 tackles (1 for loss) and grabbing an interception. The senior linebacker is a mainstay on the Jefferson defense, and has 39 tackles (1 for loss), an interception, forced fumble, and a blocked punt on the season.
