Clark, Starks, Stockton Named Football Players of the Week


The Player of the Week Fan Vote notched 9,939 votes, with Rabun County’s Adriel Clark (3,946) taking the top spot. BLITZ then picked Jefferson’s Malaki Starks and Gunner Stockton (Rabun) as Co-POWs.

ADRIEL CLARK – FAN VOTE

Rabun County’s Adriel Clark earns his first Player of the Week award after recording a 3-TD night at #8-ranked Bremen. In the Wildcats’ 48-34 win, Clark had all three of his TDs in the first half. He totaled 96 yards on just 4 catches, averaging 24 yards per haul-in. The senior then added 3 tackles. For the season, Clark has 312 receiving yards and 6 TD catches.

MALAKI STARKS – BLITZ PICK


Malaki Starks has long been deserving of this honor. Now it’s his. The Jefferson 5-star athlete recorded 128 rush yards and 3 TD, and added 89 passing yards with another score in a big win for the #2-ranked Dragons. Starks has 472 rushing yards (7 TD) and 111 passing yards (1 TD) on the season.

GUNNER STOCKTON – BLITZ PICK

The junior 5-star QB strikes again! His 12th career Player of the Week award (most decorated in BLITZ history). Gunner Stockton of Rabun County had a 7-TD game in a 48-34 win over Bremen. While for some that is a career night, it marked the sixth (6TH!!) time in his career he has had 7 touchdowns in a game. It also was the seventh (7TH!!) time he registered a QB rating of 140 or better.
Stockton completed 68% of his passes for 252 yards and 3 TD. He added 145 yards on the ground and another 4 TDs. For the season, the South Carolina commit has 719 passing yards (9 TD) and 434 rushing yards (8 TD) overall.
