Dawson’s Bo Lewis named last baseball POY finalist after Fan Vote

20,438 votes poured in for Bo Lewis, the Dawson County senior catcher who earned the 7th and final spot among the finalist pool for BLITZ Player of the Year. It was a first-time ordeal for BLITZ, and 48,373 total votes were tabulated among the players fighting for the last spot.

Lewis now joins teammate and reigning BLITZ Player of the Year Hudson Sapp, as well as Aidan Berrong (Towns), Mason Cooper (Jefferson), Caden Cotton (Banks), Connor McGuire (White), and Colby Rogers (Commerce).

Next up comes the voting by our internal panel to determine Player of the Year. This is done Heisman-style (each voter ranking the finalists) to determine the winner. Lewis had a phenomenal season going, batting .541 with 4 homeruns, 20 RBI, 16 runs, and 7 walks, loggin a .604 OBP, 1.000 SLG, and 1.604 OPS.

I want to vote for Bo Lewis
