Baseball Player of the Week goes to McGuire (White Co) and Lewis (Dawson)

White County’s Connor McGuire and Dawson’s Bo Lewis earned the first Baseball Player of the Week awards of the decade.

Senior catcher Bo Lewis is destroying the baseball in the early going. The backstop through 3 games last week hit .500 (4-for-8) with 2 homeruns, driving in 9 runs and scoring 6. He also notched 4 walks to earn his first-ever POW award.

CONNOR MCGUIRE

Not to be outdone, White County pitcher Connor McGuire hurled a no-hitter consisting of 14 strikeouts and only 3 walks issued in a win over Clarke Central. The senior earned his first POW award.
