Rabun’s Stockton again earns All-American distinction
After earning praises last year as a Freshman MaxPreps All-American, Rabun County’s Gunner Stockton again earns the honor, this time as a sophomore. Stockton was named 1st-Team Offense All-American by MaxPreps.
Stockton, a 5-star recruit who is the top-ranked QB in the Class of 2022 in the entire country, is the reigning two-time BLITZ Player of the Year, and this season blew away his stellar freshman numbers.
The sophomore led the Wildcats to a sixth straight region championship in 8-AA, and a fifth consecutive quarterfinal-or-deeper playoff run. He passed for 3,473 yards and 43 TD this year, completing 239 of his 334 pass attempts (72%), and rushed for 1,126 yards and 19 scores.
All told, he collected 4,599 yards and 62 TD, bringing his career totals to 8,225 yards of offense and 113 touchdowns. He has thrown for 6,390 yards already and 77 TD, and rushed for 1,835 and 36.
Last season, Stockton was named the Freshman of the Year by MaxPreps.
