Dawsons guards earn Player of the Week
We put it to a vote, and it was Dawson’s Maddie Anglin who won the Fan Vote with 5,695 votes of the total 12,598. BLITZ then named fellow Dawson player Jasper Gibson Co-Player of the Week.
MADDIE ANGLIN (FAN VOTE)
Maddie Anglin made a name for herself a year ago. Now, she’s taking her game to the next level. This was not more evident than last week, when the junior averaged 15.3 points per game in 3 total games. The guard has an exceptional success rate from long range and at the free throw line.
Anglin drained 12 3-pointers over that same span, and shot 100% on her freebies. This is her first-ever Player of the Week award.

JASPER GIBSON (BLITZ PICK)
This guy is not new to the scene, as he picked up 3 such awards as a junior last year. Senior All-State talent Jasper Gibson is off to an incredible start, not surprisingly. The guard put up a career night against typical powerhouse GAC last week, producing a double-double of 42 points and 10 boards.
He did this on December 5 on the road no less, and had 36 points in the first half and was a perfect 6-for-6 from beyond the arc. Gibson has now won 4 Player of the Week awards in his career, and is a 1,000-point scorer (hitting the mark in late November last year).
