Tallulah Falls’ sophomore sets school record in 5K course

TFS Athletics – Though the Tribe of TFS cross country boys and girls took the week off from competition to train more distinctively, sophomore Evan Prince ran the fast 5k course at Lamar Murphy park in 16:34.73 – a TFS harrier school record! – to place third of 82 varsity runners, behind 2018 state champion senior Graham Blanks of Athens Academy and junior Jonathan Greene, recent Wingfoot Classic champion.

The dry, two loop course around razor wire, a lake, and mowed fields had plenty of shouting spectators, inspired pack running, and significant performances under an early morning tepid canopy, just warm enough to motivate muscles and minds to memorable moments.
